Cat Ba National Park is an extremely unique national park in the system of national parks of Vietnam. These ecosystems are adjacent and follow each other, creating extremely rich landscapes and habitats. The park is also the only conservation area in Vietnam and the world where populations of Cat Ba langur exist.
8:00-8:30: A bus and our experienced tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Cat Ba town.
9:00-11:30: Upon arrival at the National Park gate, you will pay the entrance fee and start trekking. Along the trail through the tropical forest, you will be immersed in nature and may spot some mammals such as mink, squirrel, monkey, bird, and many butterflies. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the yellow-headed langurs, one of the rarest animals listed in the Red Book. You'll climb over three mountains locally named as ''Ang Vắt, Mây Bầu, Ang Phay''.
11:30: After 2.5 hours of trekking covering a distance of about 6 km, you will reach the frog pond. This is the largest freshwater lake in the middle of the National forest. the bottom of the frog pond, thousands of ''Va Nuoc'' trees reach upwards, a species found exclusively in the Frog ponds and nowhere else on Cat Ba island. The pond is home to many types of fish and crabs. You'll take a 30-minute rest here.
12:00-13:00: Continue trekking Frog Pond up the last mountain named ''Doc Dài'' to Viet Hai village (4 km). This is a small ancient village of local residents with about 100 families.
13:00: Have lunch and take a rest at Viet Hai village. Experience a fish massage for your feet in the cool stream flowing Cat Ba primeval forest.
14:00: You are free to explore the lives of people in the village or take a bicycle ride 5 km to Viet Hai harbor. Get on a travel boat through Lan Ha Bay, stopping at a floating home for kayaking to discover the beauty of Lan Ha Bay - The most beautiful bay in the world. Enjoy a great time immersing yourself in Lan Ha Bay's clear blue water.
16:00: The boat takes you back to Cai Beo wharf, where you can visit Cai Beo Fishing floating village on the way back. Cai Beo was formed hundreds of years ago, associated with the process of ancient Cat Ba's residents moving the forest to the sea to find food the ocean.
17:00: Arrive at Cai Beo wharf, where a car will take you back to Cat Ba town center. Finish the journey and see you again.
